The Nautilus Shell
We searched for an image that would convey the unique character of Seven Mile Island to everyone who visited our web site. We found that in one of nature’s wonders – The Chambered Nautilus. The Nautilus Shell is a symbol of the beauty, balance and symmetry of nature, the combination of elements that has drawn man to the ocean from the beginning of time.

The shape of the Nautilus Shell conforms to the Golden Ratio (Phi) found in nature, science, architecture, great works of art, and the proportions of the human body. The architecture of the Great Pyramids displays the Golden Ratio and galaxies throughout the universe conform to this pattern. The Guggenheim Museum designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is shaped like the Nautilus Shell. The examples of this natural harmony that exists in our world are almost endless.
So we hope that the Nautilus Shell will serve as inspiration for you to visit Seven Mile Island and enjoy the Summer Vacation Lifestyle at the Shore.
